The thought of purchasing another piece of SW that has no use for me other than for a single function is not pleasant. I have used CT7 twice since purchased & have never even used CT pipeline because both are superfluous to what I do & create. I purchased copies of Crazy Talk 7 & CT pipeline in 2013. I can only reiterate what I had previously posted in the "Create Face" discussion: From what I understand a face creation tool of some nature has been included with iClone since its inception (I may not be correct on this point, but I know definitively it was in iC4 & iC5).

I do hope that it will have an iClone 6 GUI, and not look like some relic from Windows 1. I will patiently await the arrival of the standalone Face Creator. I still don't need, or want it so I'll just wait for the standalone Head Creator next year.īy wires - 7 Years PR Check your Forum PM inbox. No requirement to purchase anything else. Just go a mail from RL with a new deal on CT8 Pipeline - $89.00. The product will be launched in December - 25 days left and counting. Hello all, does anyone know if today is still launch day? No, today is not the launch day - it's the last day for you to move your money from your Bank to the RL Bank. I will now patiently await the release of the stand-alone Face Builder module. The video contained no spoken commentary.īy wires - 7 Years Eric, Thank you very much for the information. It just showed changes being made using a bunch of sliders/pre-sets in CT and then later additional changes being made in CC. I watched the WIP video part 2 this morning before it was taken down/hidden. However iClone users who don't even own or want CrazyTalk are being forced to pay out a small fortune just to get back the Face fitting capabilities that have been removed from version 6!!!!!!!!! The most interesting statement is, IMHO, contained in the last sentence (my bold marking). You will see that everything shown is happening in CrazyTalk 8 and can be used by CrazyTalk users who don't even own or want iClone. With 3D you now don't have those limitations and your character can move in a more realistic and expressive way. I would urge you to take another look at the video. With the 2D system we used previously there were obvious limitations with regards to how much head movement you could have.

Sure 2D is still there for backwards compatibility, but 3D is the way forward for CrazyTalk and the way we expect most CT users to use the software from now on. Edwards, the Forum moderator, regarding the new CT8 WIP 1 video. This link is to a most interesting post by Mr. I have had a lot of enjoyment using both iClone and 3DXchange, but being slapped around the face to pay between $200.00 and $250.00 by RL just to obtain the ability to do something that has always been a core element of their software is just too much to take.
I spent money on assets that I found suitable to achieve my goals, and satisfy my limited "creative talents". I am afraid to even contemplate just how much money I have invested in RL products since IC 2, but I don't for one second regret it.
If I had any need for CrazyTalk I would already own and use it - I did purchase a discounted version once somewhere, but couldn't fit it into my workflow. Now the cold hard truth has been published - either users spend $249.00 on content, or pay $199.00 for the CT8 Pipeline version just to the ability to do something that has always been included as an integral part of iClone!!!!!!!! If there was content available for purchase that I could justify spending $249.00 on then I would have already done that.

I had assumed that the absence of this feature in IC 6 was only something temporary to be reintroduced in a future patch update. I've been using iClone since version 2, and one of the great features even then was the ability to create custom faces/heads directly inside the App.

Well, well - RL really do know how to get rid of long-time customers.
